Amidst State of Emergency Medicine Hat Deploys Muscle Wall
The city of Medicine Hat in Alberta Canada, amid the fear of another flood comparable to the one that hit in 2013, has declared a state of emergency and began preparing for a flood using Muscle Wall. After the devastating flood that Medicine Hat endured in 2013 in which it was estimated that at least 1,000 homes and businesses were damaged by floodwater with damages totaling upwards of $3-5 Billion, city officials geared up to fight the next flood threat by purchasing 1,754 meters of Muscle Wall. As of tuesday, June 17th Medicine Hat has been deploying Muscle Wall around key government buildings and highly prone areas. Attached below are two links to news coverage of the event.
